steph lauter
the coolest girl in school. since the homecoming game, has been officially dating pete. her confidence is real but she also uses it to hide behind her insecurities. she still can't believe that pete actually likes her back.
max jägerman
former tyrant king of hatchetfield high. he was humbled by the waylon place prank and is now pretty friendly with the nerds. takes his "asshole recovery" very seriously and tries his best to show others his good side.
grace chasity
everyone's favorite nerdy prude. thanks to becoming closer with the rest of the gang, she's been easing up on her more obnoxious behaviors— sometimes she even holds hands with max! very quick-witted and scaringly good at coming up with schemes.
ruth fleming
the theatre club's only light person and considers that fact a sisyphean burden. still loves it though. too shy to approach most people but will drape herself over the rest of the gang because she's so touch-starved.
richie lipschitz
self-proclaimed anime snob. loves his friends but it tends to get overshadowed by his constant recommendation that everyone watch attack on titan.

a classmate of pete's. however, ever since the glitching started, she's been acting strange.
