artemis by andy weir ★★★★☆
oct 2023. cool sci-fi thriller with interesting worldbuilding
law & order: svu (1999) ★★★★☆
sep 2023. started watching around season 12 with my roommate. as of mid-november, we're starting season 20! olivia benson is my lesbian wife and... sorry for the unpopular opinion but stabler isn't an interesting character to me.
chouette by claire oshetsky ★★★★★
sep 2023. pure poetry all the way through. nearly made me cry. short and sweet and full of emotions.
the nun ii (2023) ★★★☆☆

aug 2023. trans rights and i cried about it.
repo! the genetic opera (2008) ★★★★★
aug 2023. its so terrible. its so so bad. objectively this is not a good film. but the aesthetic? immaculate. zydrate anatomy? slaps.
good omens (2019) ★★★★☆
aug 2023. watched season 1 when it first came out, i think. enjoyed it very much! season 2... ehhh. i still love all the characters but i have mixed feelings on where the plot's headed.
a monster in paris (2011) ★★★★☆
jul 2023. first watched as a kid, but rewatched recently. as an autistic kid i related a lot to francoeur. minus one star simply because of the very tacked-on ending scene that very much seems like the director wanted to make sure no one thought lucille was in love with the giant bug man (it's very obvious she's in love with the giant bug man)
spider-man: across the spider-verse (2023) ★★★★★
jun 2023. seen in the theater! two hours of visual stim bliss. same as the first movie, the animation, characters, soundtrack, story, everything was amazing.
bones (2005) ★★★☆☆
mar 2023. an interesting premise, and nice character dynamics, but it was just a tad bit too boring so we stopped watching.
ncis (2003) ★☆☆☆☆
mar 2023. sometimes watch this when i'm bored with my roommate. 5 stars for every witty dialogue and found family moment. -4 stars for all the racism and islamophobia.
the midnight club (2022) ★★★★☆
feb 2023. this was a great show, with a lot of great characters. but it ended on a weird note because they expected a second season that didn't happen, which sucked.
haunting of bly manor (2020) ★★★★★
2023. ough. this one hit hard. also, lesbianism.
haunting of hill house (2018) ★★★★☆
2022. i'm not usually a horror person, but mike flanagan shows always hit different. this was the first show of his i was introduced to and wow, it's so good.
fringe (2008) ★★★★★
2022. one of the best tv shows of all time. technically watched for the first time a few years earlier, but watched it fully through in 2022 and cried.
elementary (2012) ★★★★☆
2022. an autistic-coded sherlock holmes actually done well! i love joan so much. the cases are always interesting and fun.
spider-man: into the spider-verse (2018) ★★★★★
jan 2019. amazing animation. chefs kiss. impeccable style, wonderful characters, i love this movie so much.
the martian by andy weir ★★★★★
2017-ish. listen i don't know why this book about a man being stranded on mars is a comfort novel. something something humanity coming together with extraordinary effort just to save one man's life.
doctor who (2005) ★★★★☆
2013-ish. with a show this long, obviously i have a lot to say about it and how it's changed over the years. but for now i'll just say that all the doctors are autistic and plural and i love them. peter capaldi's doctor was the first that i watched as the episodes aired, and he'll always hold a special place in my heart for that.
beetlejuice (1988) ★★★★☆
childhood. comfort movie. i love lydia deetz and her ghost family.
matilda (1996) ★★★★★
childhood. another comfort movie :] my autistic self related a lot to matilda.
mary poppins (1964) ★★★★★
childhood. one of my first special interests as a kid!
the wizard of oz (1939) ★★★★★
childhood. so nostalgic. one of my first memories is watching this movie.
